When you think of a strong character you probably think about people with special abilities and OP skills, right? Well, not all strong characters need to be strong and can be quite weak but still have a ton of courage. That’s what we’re looking at today, five anime characters from the spring 2021 anime season that aren’t exactly strong but have a lot of bravery. They probably would lose a fight if they got into one by themselves but their courage makes them stronger than most and they tend to charge headfirst into a fight to save friends or loved ones. These characters need to be recognized and we here at Honey’s Anime are about to do that!

    5. Rhyme from Subarashiki Kono Sekai The Animation (The World Ends with You The Animation)

The World Ends with You has presented us with the capable Neku and numerous other Reapers’ Game participants who are truly quite tough. Rhyme on the other hands seems like the one with the least skill and overall weakest move set of the participants. That being set, Rhyme is Beat’s means of keeping calm and acts as the cheerful smile the others need in this perilous situation. Beat is fully aware that there is more depth to Rhyme but he equally knows that without her, his reason for playing in this death game would be null and void. Rhyme is indeed a weakling but her smile pierces through the darkness that is the deadly Reapers’ Game.

    4. Chise Asukagawa from SSSS.Dynazenon

The Dynazenon team certainly has an assortment of “heroes” but one of the backup members is someone we felt like discussing, Chise Asukagawa. Despite not owning a part of Dynazenon like the rest of the team, Chise has acted as a backup when any of the members is unable to perform their duties. This small girl seems fearless despite having no particular skills like the others and is easily the youngest of the team. Chise might be small, young, and not fully capable but her courage lies in her fearlessness and we loved that about her.

    3. Sachio from NOMAD: MEGALOBOX 2 (MEGALOBOX 2: NOMAD)

Originally a street kid, Sachio has since grown quite a bit in MEGALOBOX 2: NOMAD. Now trying to mirror Joe—despite having quite a bit of hatred for him—Sachio has entered the ring and shown he’s not much of a boxer. Nevertheless, this scrawny fighter isn’t afraid to go against opponents twice his sign to prove no one will destroy his current life. We have to pray Sachio will learn a bit more from Joe to become a more capable boxer but for now, his goal is simply to fight for those he loves.

    2. Hiroshi Yuuki from Kyuukyoku Shinka shita Full Dive RPG ga Genjitsu yori mo Kusoge Dattara (Full Dive: The Ultimate Next-Gen Full Dive RPG is Even Shittier than Real Life!)

    [sourceLink asin="" asin_jp="" cdj_product_id="" text="imdb" url="https://ift.tt/3gEotIo" ]

We gamers can be quite tough even when all hope seems lost. In Full Dive, Hiroshi Yuuki reminds us of that by trying his best to beat a game he has little hope of beating. Hiroshi is forced to play a VRMMO called Kiwame Quest and here his tough life becomes tougher thanks to a beautiful woman named Reona Kisaragi and her ulterior motives. Yuuki has already had to save himself from crazed assassins and numerous evil forces but Yuuki continues onward praying that his luck doesn’t run out just yet. Got to give the man some credit, his courage in the face of overwhelming odds is quite astonishing.

    1. Takemichi Hanagaki from Tokyo Revengers

    [sourceLink asin="" asin_jp="" cdj_product_id="" text="imdb" url="https://ift.tt/3iUE9Kk" ]

As an adult, Takemichi is far from what you consider strong in any way. Quick to apologize when he makes any mistake and quick to grovel, Takemichi is pretty pathetic overall. However, when he was a young teen, Takemichi was once quite tough and quick to stand up for his friends and his beliefs. Despite the path that caused him to become the weak Takemichi we know in the present era, he gets a chance at undoing his past and that is where we see a new man rise. Despite being physically weak and lacking any martial arts talents like his girlfriend Hina, Takemichi is tough as nails. Dubbed the “crybaby hero” this young man can take a beating and, even when he’s bruised beyond belief, he will still stand and put his fists up. Takemichi also isn’t afraid to go against scarier opponents like his now friends Mikey and Draken. Takemichi is the definition of bravery and we commend this tough guy for standing strong even when failures try to knock him down.

    Final Thoughts

Anime heroes come in various shapes and forms—as cliché as that sounds—but we always recognize those who put others before themselves. Being a hero doesn’t always mean you need OP skills, and sometimes the best heroes—even in the real world—stand up for those who need them even if they are at risk. That’s why we love the characters above and hope we mentioned the best we could find from this spring 2021 anime season. Have you noticed anyone we could have mentioned on our list?
