    5. Kumo Desu ga, Nani ga? (So I’m a Spider, So What?) - Do Your Best! Kumoko-san’s Theme by Aoi Yuki

Staying strong at number 5 is the female protagonist isekai anime that impressed the anime community, Kumo Desu ga, Nani ga?! This anime put a new spin on the isekai genre and it did not disappoint even in terms of its ending! One of the major selling points of this anime is its cute protagonist who is turned into a spider. The ending is like an extension of Kumoko as Aoi Yuki does a good job of keeping the ending lighthearted and upbeat. It’s a very unique song that reflects the story and plot quite effectively yet very uniquely!

    4. Beastars 2nd Season - Yasashii Suisei by YOASOBI

Everyone has fallen in love with YOASOBI’s songs and we at Honey’s Anime are not immune either! Yasashii Suisei is the best song possible for the 2nd Season of Beastars as it draws on various emotions that are very relevant to the plot. This song has spoilers for the plot itself and there is heavy wordplay involved that just grabs Beastars fans by their heart. This song demonstrates the relationship between Ibuki and Louis but also the very essence of their characters making it an emotional ride.

    3. Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season (Attack on Titan: The Final Season) - Shougeki by Yuuko Andou

Next up, we have Attack on Titan: The Final Season’s ending called Shougeki by Yuuko Andou. When this song starts at the end of each episode of Attack on Titan, it perfectly shows the misery that the characters go through in its lyrics. It also makes us very emotional as we realize that humanity’s true freedom is going further and further away from its grasp. It’s interesting to note that we see Falco in this ending who represents the only possibly sane person in this anime but even he is not able to attain freedom. It makes us think about whether freedom is truly something we can attain in this world.

    2. Nanatsu no Taizai: Fundo no Shinpan (Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgement) - Time by Sawano Hiroyuki[nZk]: ReoNa

Ever heard a Japanese song and you just feel that it should definitely belong to an anime? That’s what Time in Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgement does for us. This anime could very well qualify to be the opening of this season but the opening is already perfect as well! This song encapsulates the feelings of Elizabeth who is struggling to get Meliodas back without him sacrificing himself for her sake. The whole song captures the feelings we all feel as we watch this season and the strong emotional take of the song speaks volumes as it reflects our feelings but also the pain the characters face, particularly Elizabeth during this phase of the anime. We couldn't get ahold of the official ED video so enjoy the MV instead!

    1. Black Clover - BEAUTIFUL by TREASURE

    [sourceLink asin="" asin_jp="B08VD4M5TB" cdj_product_id="" text="" url="" ]

We are all suckers for beautiful and heartfelt endings that really reflect the journey that the protagonists go through to get where they are. That’s what Black Clover’s ending BEAUTIFUL by TREASURE does for us. While this anime has taken a new approach by including a K-pop group in handling the ending, it has worked perfectly well in this anime. We dare say that it fits this anime and what it’s trying to say in its ending. As we see the journey that Asta and Yuno took from birth to where they are now, the song perfectly encapsulates it by showing how beautiful their story was together through trials and trouble. We start with light nostalgic colors where we see Asta and Yuno are babies followed by the troubles that Asta went through but at the end, we see that Asta and Yuno’s friendship stays strong and beautiful throughout. This ending definitely deserves to be at the top!

    Final Thoughts

Ending songs in anime can be nostalgic and force us to look back on the journey that we embarked on with an anime. The effect of the song is directly proportional to how much you love the anime and how much you care about it. Winter 2021 was chock full of wonderful anime that made us happy and sad at the same time as we watched the journey come to a close. We hope you enjoyed this article of our Best EDs of Winter 2021!
